Carp Godric

Parchment, gold leaf, shell gold, sumi ink, gouache. Based on early 15th century French document. Pendent seal attached to silk cords through folded bottom portion. The Carp is a totally excellent persona development recognition. 8" x 9.5"

Before the cords went in

The shell gold and red and blue gouache are done, but the pale highlights and white detail are not yet on. Main reference image pictured at right- a royal decree concerning merchants in Paris.

At this point only the ink, gold leaf and first layer of red gouache are done. Gold leaf attached with egg glair.
